IT looks like Jessica Simpson has broken her addiction to her longtime hairdresser. Ken Paves, who rode Simpson's coattails for years, usually insists on doing her hair for major shoots, but most magazines don't want to work with him because he's the king of "Texas" hair, charges so much and isn't considered "timely." So it came as a surprise to insiders when they saw that Oribe had styled Simpson for this month's Vanity Fair. Especially as, several years ago when Simpson was a huge star, the magazine had offered her the cover -- but she turned them down because they didn't want to work with Paves. A rep for Simpson said, "[Photographer] Mario Testino insisted on his team, and we agreed. Mario is a genius. The photos are gorgeous and transformative."
