BERLIN (Hollywood Reporter) – Sam Rockwell, currently on the big screen as journalist James Reston Jr. in "Frost/Nixon," has joined Hilary Swank in the legal drama "Betty Anne Waters."
The film is based on the true story of Waters (Swank), an unemployed single mother whose brother was convicted of a murder-robbery in 1983 and sentenced to life in prison. Convinced of his innocence, she spent the next decade earning a law degree and working on her brother's case. Rockwell will play the brother.
Minnie Driver also has a role in the movie, which actor/director Tony Goldwyn is directing for Switzerland-based production and financing company Omega Entertainment.
Rockwell's upcoming screen work includes a turn as villain Justin Hammer in "Iron Man 2."
